Today is History

Inspiration Source and About:
From the phrase "Today in History"

Potential Application:
"Today is History"
Describes how what happens in the present is already out of our control. What happens in the present is often the result of past actions. (perhaps tomorrow can still be changed)

Commercial entities can use this as advertising slogan, advocating investment products or insurance.

Remarks
:
The slogan seems incomplete, any inspiration?

Looking Forward, Moving Onwards

Inspiration Source and About:
The People's Action Party's (PAP) 2006 General Election Manifesto Slogan was "Staying together, Moving Ahead". This slogan is a slight permutation of that. I wouldn't therefore say the first slogan we discuss here is completely original.

Potential Application:
"Looking Forward"
Political parties could use this slogan to highlight how they are visionary and forward looking. At the same, "looking forward" can also describe a yearning, perhaps for a better future

"Moving Onwards"
This describes actual progress. Together with the first part of the slogan, while the party is forwarding looking and visionary, neither are they too idealistic. There would be actual progress.

"Forward" and "Onwards" also rhymes

Remarks:

Why this blog?

In 2008, the world witnessed a successful political campaign, tapping on powerful and influential slogans coupled with the new media.

I am referring to the the United States Presidential Election, where Obama was elected.

Slogans are powerful combinations of words. If used rightly, can be powerful and useful in bring out one's causes.

The vision of this blog is where anyone can throw up an original slogan he/she came up with. Then, anyone can discuss about those slogans (potential application, evaluations etc.) Last of all, anyone can freely use any of the slogans available here. All they have to do is to post a comment on how it was used. (to keep everyone informed on how it was already used, to avoid cases where the same slogans are used in conflicting situations)
